Clearly access is limited by time, and the fact that everyone from Haarlem to Rotterdam will be able to listen along with you. So bring your favourite track along, and prepare to persuade us as to why we should choose it!
Saturday will also see DeWolff talk about their studio-to-store world record and present the 10 records that define their career, a Q&A with gabber and hardcore legend DJ Dano, the premier of We Moesten Maar eens gaan combined with signing session by Tröckener Kecks, What's its like to be a superfan?, The Crate Digger challenge, and the most weird and brilliant stories about what people have found in their second hand sleeves.
Classic Album Sundays
We conclude the day with the first of two Classic Album Sundays sessions with Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy and Ken Scott, who will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's Aladdin's Sane. They will be discussing how the album was created in the studio, why the album has helped shape important moments in the history of modern music and they will take questions from the audience. On Sunday they will discuss another milestone in pop music history, celebrating the 55th birthday of The White Album by The Beatles.
Sunday will also see top producer and mixer Danton Supple explaining the magic of the mix, a Q&A with The Nits, vinyl myths busted and hidden messages discussed in the secret life of a record.
Feel like having a seat after digging? Take some rest at the Haarlem Vinyl Festival Hang-out, or visit the Phil Café for food and drinks. From Friday through to Sunday, you can enjoy an amazing amount of musicality here, varying from vinyl DJs and the talented musicians of the Conservatorium Haarlem to established and upcomping bands.
