Altın Gün + support

Western interpretation of Turkish and Anatolian music from the 70's. It's no longer a surprise that Altın Gün draws its inspiration from Turkish and Anatolian folk music, achieving one success after another. Their 2019 album Gece was even nominated for a Grammy and featured in All Music's Best of 2019 list. Two years ago, they performed on the beach of Rapa Nui, and now they're returning to Patronaat during the Haarlem Vinyl Festival on Saturday, September 28.

Over the past few years, the group hasn't been idle and recorded a live album in their studio, Aşk. This album - their first without singer Merve - showcases Altın Gün's incredible live reputation, which explains why they are repeatedly invited back for their energetic live shows.

Het is inmiddels geen verrassing meer dat Altın Gün haar inspiratie haalt uit de Turkse en Anatolische folkmuziek en daar het ene na het andere succes mee behaalt. Zo werd album 'Gece' uit 2019 bekroond met een Grammy-nominatie en kwam het terecht in de Best of 2019 van All Music. Twee jaar geleden stonden ze op het strand van Rapa Nui, nu komen ze terug naar Patronaat tijdens Haarlem Vinyl Festival op zaterdag 28 september.

De afgelopen jaren heeft de groep niet stilgezeten en namen ze livealbum in hun studio op, 'Aşk'. Een album - de eerste overigens zonder zangeres Merve - waarop Altın Gün hun geweldige live-reputatie laat horen en waarom ze steeds maar weer overal worden teruggevraagd vanwege hun energieke liveshows.
