On Saturday, September 28th, Cristel Ball will once again curate an evening filled with surprising acts and we are delighted to welcome Morpheus to the Jopen Stage.
Pop-noir artist Morpheus made a stunning debut in 2023 with his EP 'Morphosis'. His music, crafted for the lonely soul, blends orchestral elements with contemporary productions and digital beats, creating a unique and captivating sound. Morpheus sees his songwriting as a form of alchemy, transforming his inner darkness into something powerful and radiant.
In 2024, Morpheus released his second EP, 'The Ascent', collaborating with fellow artist and producer Thomas Azier. His growing reputation is marked by a cover feature on L'Officiel Turkey, and interviews in Trouw, 3voor12, and Behind the Blinds. With live and TV performances throughout Europe, supporting tours for artists like Thomas Azier, Ásgeir, and Kovacs, and performing at ESNS in 2024, his name is buzzing.

Cristel is known for her eclectic vinyl sets and deep understanding of different genres and eras, mixing punk with hip-hop and wave without blinking. She also has a great ear for surprising bands and new music. Expect vinyl culture with a twist and a place to discover fresh talent from the Haarlem area and beyond. Last year, we hosted this freely accessible evening in the Jopenkerk, and this year, with the help of our friends at Jopen, we decided to go a little bigger by taking over the PHIL foyer. From Saturday afternoon till midnight, we will top off a day filled with a fantastic program at our central festival location.
