Bender has been successfully touring the country for many years with their own Dutch-language repertoire. Currently, Bender is on stage with the varied musical program "Nooit weggeweest". As 'Muziekweb' once described Bender's music: "the ideal antidote to the flashy and superficial madness of everyday life."
In the summer of 2024, guitarist Jan Rooijmans, pianist Boris Vissers, double bassist Jos Caspers, and singer-songwriter Bert Vissers jointly recorded a brand new EP. This EP features six Bender songs that were recorded live, including the previously unreleased track "Dankbaar tevreden". The EP will be available soon.
For this edition of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, the band draws attention to the plight of the many (anonymous) citizens, poets, lawyers, and journalists who peacefully resist undemocratic and dictatorial regimes around the world. A beautiful statement that aligns with the history of the historic building "De Koepel". The installation itself can also be visited outside of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, until mid-October, in one of the cells of the Koepel.

Tijdens het Haarlem Vinyl Festival geeft de band Bender een mini-concert in de Koepel van Haarlem. Dit optreden staat in het teken van de single en animatiefilm 'De wereld is je niet vergeten, vriend'. Een unieke samenwerking tussen Bender en kunstenaar Christel Bouwmeester.
Bender toert al vele jaren met succes door het land met een eigen Nederlandstalig repertoire. Op dit moment staat Bender op de planken met het gevarieerde muzikaal liedjesprogramma 'Nooit weggeweest'. Het is, zoals 'Muziekweb' ooit over de muziek van Bender schreef: 'het ideale tegengif voor de flitsende en 'oppervlakkige waan van alledag'.
In de zomer van 2024 hebben gitarist Jan Rooijmans, pianist Boris Vissers, contrabassist Jos Caspers en zanger en liedjesschrijver Bert Vissers, gezamenlijk een gloednieuwe EP opgenomen. Op deze EP staan zes Bender-songs die live zijn ingespeeld, waaronder het nooit eerder uitgebrachte lied 'Dankbaar tevreden'. De EP zal binnenkort te verkrijgen zijn.
Deze editie van het Haarlem Vinyl Festival vraagt de band aandacht voor het lot van de vele(anonieme) burgers, dichters, advocaten en journalisten die zich geweldloos
verzetten tegen ondemocratische en dictatoriale regimes, overal in de wereld. Een prachtig statement dat aansluit bij de geschiedenis van het historische gebouw 'De Koepel'.
De installatie zelf is ook te bezoeken, buiten het Haarlem Vinyl Festival om, tot halverwege oktober in een van de cellen van de Koepel.
