Yorick van Norden's new studio album, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios, and his very first book, De Platenkast van Paul McCartney, will be released soon. Under that title, he will also be touring the country with his theater show starting in January 2025. Especially for the occasion, he will give an exclusive preview of both at the Haarlem Vinyl Festival.

Like a detective, he delved into the record collection of the legendary ex-Beatle, discovering contents that no one had previously explored. Alongside albums from well-known names like The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and Joni Mitchell, Yorick encountered surprising finds such as experimental classical music by Stockhausen, Americana by Gram Parsons, and soul by Marvin Gaye. Even hip-hop by Eminem, funk by The Meters, and Afrobeat by Fela Kuti have a place in this rich collection.
In The Record Collection of Paul McCartney, Yorick takes you on a special journey of discovery through singing, playing, and storytelling. Who is Yorick van Norden?
Yorick van Norden sings, writes, plays, and makes albums. He also regularly appears as a pop music expert on radio and TV programs. Van Norden has followed in McCartney's footsteps multiple times. He recorded his upcoming album, to be released by Excelsior Recordings, at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. His book of the same name, The Record Collection of Paul McCartney, will also be released soon. Previously, he toured with the show McCartney & Me. In recent years, he has been the musical right-hand man of Leo Blokhuis in his theater shows The Summer of Love, A Love Letter to 1972, A Love Letter to 1983, and A Love Letter to 1974.
