Colleen and her special guest Ken Scott will be celebrating either the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's 'Aladdin's Sane' which Scott produced, or the 55th anniversary of The Beatles 'White Album' on which he engineered several of the songs, and you get to decide which album via this poll. They will be discussing how the album was created in the studio, why the album has helped shape important moments in the history of modern music and they will take questions from the audience. Murphy is a brilliant and inspiring figure who started Classic Album Sundays in 2010 to challenge the way we listen to music in the 21st century. Ken Scott is another inspiring figure whose engineering and production credits include Elton John, Pink Floyd, Procol Harum, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Duran Duran, the Jeff Beck Group, Supertramp and many more.
For this live Q&A at the inaugural edition of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, we would like to know which album you prefer. Should we highlight the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's "Aladdin Sane" or should we celebrate the 55th birthday of The Beatles' "The White Album"? Help us out with this vinyl dilemma by answering your favorite option in the comments on Instagram or Facebook, or send us a mail.
For this session we will use, thanks to our friends from Music2.nl, not fewer than six Blumenhofer Gran Gioia's in combination with Feickert turntables, with needles provided by Van den Hul.
